Sinagwa banks on students during election 

In an area with more students than full-time residents, Congressional candidate Nate Sinagawa is promising to turn students’ debt doubt into political victory on Election Day.

Sinagawa, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent Tom Reed are only a few months away from the general election that will put one of them in the newly formed District 23 Congressional seat in the House of Representatives. Sinagawa’s platform weighs heavily making higher education more affordable through federally funded initiatives while Reed’s campaign emphasises the need to cut government spending.
